- To commemorate the Apollo 11 lunar-landing, the French newspaper Le Figaro & Cartier flew Michael Collins, Buzz Aldrin, and Neil Armstrong were flown to Paris & each presented a solid gold Cartier-built model of the landing module. Precisely detailed to reflect the actual vehicle, the object is embedded at its core with a piece of microfilm featuring the names of Le Figaro readers who donated funds for the distinction of being included in the momentous occasion.
